The u.go Anywhere Pochade Box was designed for travel from sea to summit and anywhere in between. Manufactured by New Wave in Pennsylvania, USA, each pochade box is uniquely yours, combining the inherent beauty of the wood's grain lines, knots, and varying tones with the brand's handcrafted work.

Measuring 6"x8"x1.25" and weighing 1.35 lbs with the palette included, the mid-size portable easel (Item #00703) is an ultralight setup. The box is made of Baltic Birch wood, with stainless steel and aluminum accents providing strength where needed most. All hardware is non-corrosive.

The Baltic Birch is hand-sanded and finished with a proprietary wood finish by New Wave, ensuring maximum durability. This finish is non-porous, dense, and resistant to water, standard artist solvents, and mediums. Additionally, it is crack-proof, chip-proof, and non-yellowing.

Rare earth magnets are used for the closure, panel/canvas holder, removable side wall for palette cleaning/replacement, and accessory side tray attachment. Sturdy friction hinges with a 180° range of motion allow for versatile positioning, and the pochade box is compatible with universal 1/4" tripod mounts, making it a versatile tripod painting easel.

The smooth exterior, free of protruding wood or metal components, ensures quick and easy storage in any pack. The Maximum Recommended Painting Surface is 9" Vertical, and the stainless-steel panel holders can accommodate panels as thin as 1/16" and stretched canvas up to 3/4" thick.

Each u.go Pochade Box comes with a high-density plastic painting palette. Oil paints can be removed with solvents, and dry acrylic paint peels off. The recessed palette and lid design allow for paint dabs to be stored when the lid is closed, and the horizontal setup can be used as a watercolor easel tabletop.
